Why are the Best Running Shoes for Men necessary?

Running isn’t necessarily easy. But it isn’t that hard either. All you need for a good run is a dedication and mental strength. Along with some knowledge ofwhat works for your body and a good pair of shoes designed for running.

I cannot stress enough about how important a good pair of running shoes are for runners. If your shoes don’t provide you the right fit, stretch, and traction while running, then you may face several injuries.

Those injuries could occur on your feet, knee, ankle and even your back and spine. Some of them can even be serious enough to trouble you for years to come.

A great pair of kicks will provide you with all of those aforementioned features. A big giveaway of such a pair is that despite the distance you cover, your feet and body will experience only a few signs of fatigue.

If you’re anything like me, you’ll actually not want to take them off and only want to walk/run around in them some more.

How to choose the Best Running Shoes for Men?

We’re lucky in a sense that these days there are tons of options from almost every brand we know of. So, it’s easier for us now to choose the perfect pair as long as we’re aware of what we need.

Listed below are some basic necessities for you to consider in order to find your perfect pair.

While it’s a no-brainer that people will only get shoes that fit them, you’ll have to be a little more specific when it comes to running shoes.

Along with the size, you’ll have to consider how narrow or wide your forefoot feels inside a shoe. No one feels good running in a pair that’s too crampy or loose and I’m sure you wouldn’t either.

Unless it’s obvious, many of us don’t even realize that the pronation of our feet isn’t neutral.

Those of us with even mild, under or overpronation can experience a huge difference in our running experience if we wear shoes meant for a different pronation.

An easy method of determining our pronation is by looking at our old shoes with a sole as flat as possible and noting where it’s the most worn out.

If the wear leans outwards, you have under pronation or supination. If it’s more worn out on the inside, it’s overpronation and if the wear runs mostly down the middle than you are a neutral pronator.

This requirement in running shoes is pretty simple to understand in theory; the lighter your shoes are, the fewer burden your legs will have to run with.

Hence, the lesser your shoe weighs, the slower your legs will get tired.

Examining the outsole of a running shoe is also important before purchasing it.

Of course, people would opt for great traction and grip. The problem is that most of the times, detailed outsoles such as rugged patterns, which have high traction even on wet surfaces, can leave the shoes much stiffer and sometimes even heavier.

Thin soles with least elements, on the other hand, are lighter and much flexible but compromises with grip and friction. So, decide on what you’d prefer and are willing to go without.

Even the types of support in running shoes are non-identical, thanks to the variations of cushioning in the midsole.

Some shoes come with soft and bouncy midsole for that cloud-like feel and shock-absorbing response. These types of midsoles maintain a springy support. Also, people with supination get benefits by this type of cushioning.

While many people, including me, prefer that, there are some folks who’d fancy a more firm support. The firm midsoles giveaway a barefoot feel to some extent, and many runners favor that over a bouncy support.

You can call them stability shoes and are suitable for overpronators as well.

All the shoes I’ve curated above have something to offer. I hope you enjoy running in them as much as I do.

But, if I were to choose one pair then that would be the ASICS Men’s Gel-Kayano 23 Running Shoes. These shoes have been my ride-or-die ever since I bought them and has never let me down.

ASICS incorporates cutting-edge technology into their shoes and this pair is a shining evidence that the attention to details paid off.

If you’re still not convinced, look up their exceptional features such as their Fluidfit upper and Flytefoam technology. You should treat yourself to a pair of these already.
